Ignited Minds

“It all started in 2001. I was posted as Manager in Help Desk team of a leading bank in Tokyo Japan. After a gap of about 3-4 years I was brought back into a highly technical work environment. Amidst busy work schedule, I spent my weekends discussing about the socio-political scenario of West Bengal, with my Bengali acquaintances settled in Tokyo. However, all these discussions held no future value. But somewhere, deep in me, the wish to do something for the society proliferated. The wish took the shape of forethought the moment I read the book Ignited Minds by APJ Abdul Kalam Azad. This book propelled my thought process like an inspirational force. I comprehended the significance of ‘today’ – the perfect time to invest ourselves – traversing through the path of truth, logic and optimism. I apprehended the need of persevering action for a social cause which will render us our own future benefits.

I decided to give a concrete shape to my idea – a business which will help society at large. The first obstacle was the lack of capital. Part-time jobs came up with the best solution. It helped me to accumulate a meager amount of capital, with which I created the logo of HexCode. I launched our own company website, working on it all by myself - from the scratch till the end. This process continued till the end of 2004. Slow and steadily the fund kept mounting.
